Philadelphia magazine and Attract China announced a partnership to reach Chinese tourists and Chinese nationals living in Philadelphia with the magazine’s award-winning content, Attract China’s travel website, XiaoYaoDao.cn (Happy Travel) and high-quality, passport-sized city guides for use by travel agents, concierges and travelers.
In 2014, 61,000 Chinese tourists traveled to Philadelphia, an increase of 52.5% over the previous year. Visitation estimates for the US are forecasted to increase 17.5% per year through 2020. In Philadelphia that translates into 186,000 visitors by 2020 spending $600MM a year.
