Attract China Announces Winner of Chinese New Year Contest
Chinese New Year is the most important festival for the Chinese worldwide. It is celebrated on the first day of Chinese Lunar Calendar and lasts for 15 days till Lantern Festival. 2015 Chinese New Year, the Year of the Goat according to Chinese zodiac, will fall on February 19th.
The two-week national holiday provides the Chinese with a great opportunity for overseas trips. During 2014 Chinese New Year holiday, a record 4.5 million Chinese people traveled overseas, a rise of 12.5 percent from the year before, according to the China Tourism Administration. Chinese people prepare their overseas trip early. Thanks to our partnership with Tencent, China’s largest and most popular Internet service portal, the contest was also introduced in a Mandarin-language travel show that showcases unique visitor experiences in Boston. Hosted by two famous Chinese actors ZuXin Ye and Hong Yuan, the show has already reached 622,000 Chinese Internet users. As a result, Attract China Chinese New Year Contest quickly went viral online and attracted 35,680 participants who submitted their quiz before Dec 24. The name of the winner was released in early January.
