Attract China Presenting at MOTT China Workshop
Evan Saunders, Co-Founder of Attract China, presented at the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism China Workshop 2014, January 14th for 45 minutes on Attracting Chinese Travelers through Online Marketing.
This workshop, sponsored by the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT), focused on the China market currently visiting Boston. In 2012, Chinese visitor arrivals to MA grew by nearly 8% to 150,000. With the recent announcement of new direct air service Boston – Beijing on Hainan Airlines due to begin in June 2014, Massachusetts will see even further rapid growth in the number of Chinese visitors to the state for leisure, business and education reasons.
During his presentation, Evan shared his knowledge and experiences about online marketing in China to help companies improve their understanding of how to engage Chinese already visiting their city.
As China continues to be the fastest growing source of international visitors to the US, online marketing is becoming ever more vital to connect with this large audience. 70% of Chinese tourists traveling to the US in the past year designated themselves as independent travelers, and bookings through a travel website have gone up dramatically.
